Changing Monitor resolution in Ubuntu is not a big issue in Ubuntu 11.04, but still first time users may get difficulty in changing their resolution.By default the resolution is set as default value that your monitor has. So you can adjust according to your need.
You can also rotate your screen to Left,Right,Upside down.

- Open the System setting by searching it in the Application Search or click the power button at top right of your screen
- Now click on the Monitor in Hardware section.
- Then you can change the resolution
